South Block is a 50,000 sq.ft, four storey studio complex in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City. Developed by Wasps Studios and designed by award-winning architects, NORD, there are 96 studios in total for visual and applied artists, cultural social enterprises and creative businesses. There are three meeting rooms on the ground, first and fourth floor available to South Block tenants. To see where the meeting rooms are located within the building, please look at the schedule here. All bookings are managed via reception. Use of the meeting rooms is free to South Block tenants and we do take external bookings for a hire fee. FACILITIES For external hire, we have a large ground floor space which can comfortably fit up to 20 people. If the large boardroom table is moved from the centre of the room, for example for a presentation, then the capacity goes up to 30 people. The facilities include a large boardroom table and chairs, flip chart and projector with large projector screen; all of the facilities are included in the price of hiring the space. CATERING The meeting space is conveniently located next to All That is Coffee meaning that if you require any refreshments throughout the day these can be organised beforehand with the coffee shop. If you wanted to have your event catered for then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. COSTS The ground floor meeting room can be hired out for £20 p/h, £50 for half a day or £75 for the full day. These prices may vary as we offer a discount for charities and some arts organisations.
