NORD
NORD are architects who engage with the world outwith their own discipline. The practice takes great inspiration from the UK’s legacy of ‘making things’. Streets nowadays have become generic and we face the danger of having every city in Britain looking all too familiar. This understanding and passion for materials, technological innovation, for detail, craftsmanship, texture and pattern is something, which underpins the work of NORD. Link to NORD.

We bring our core business values of excellence, service and diligence to our clients and their projects.
We are a commercial enterprise, but we believe business is about more than the accumulation of wealth. By reinvesting our surpluses from commercial work, we develop initiatives and projects designed to bring social and environmental benefits and build positive relationships – through research and learning and by supporting opportunities to create employment. We aim to enhance the relevance and value of cultural heritage to society by encouraging engagement with the past for the benefit of people’s lives in the present and future.

Gareth Hoskins Architects
Whether a major public project or a private commission, our aim is to demonstrate the potential that can be achieved through considered design. We work closely with our clients to develop a climate for discussion that allows for exploration and understanding of their needs, along with exposure to ideas and possibilities beyond the expectations of their current situation.
Where possible, we try to involve people associated at all levels of a project to take on the issues and needs of not simply those who are commissioning a building, but those who are involved daily in its use and operation. We also aim to engender awareness of the particular constraints and qualities of the wider surroundings and people they affect beyond the immediate boundaries of a site.
Whether within a city or a rural location, spatial development is informed through a combination of efficiency of use and a response to surroundings, and experience, shape, views, approach and movement through a site. Link to Gareth Hoskins Architects.
